As fast as Akash Anand touched the highs in political career, his political graph also came down. Today, Mayawati's nephew Akash Anand is no longer in Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). Taking a tough decision, party chief and former Chief Minister Mayawati has expelled Akash from the party.
Mayawati today announced the expulsion of Akash Anand through social media platform x. In her post, Mayawati said, “The party yesterday removed Akash Anand from all the posts, including the national coordinator, due to the constant under the influence of her father -in -law Dr. Ashok Siddharth. But he did not show his maturity in this matter. " She adds, "Akash has also given his long response in this matter which showed his father-in-law's selfish and egoistic impact instead of his remorse and political maturity." In such a situation, he is expelled from the party in behaving like his father -in -law, party and movement. "
Akash Anand has now been dropped from BSP. As such, he used to go to the people among the people as the nephew of Mayawati for many years. But a few months before the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Mayawati surprised everyone and declared her younger brother Anand Kumar's son Akash Anand as her successor and brought her stature to her closer somewhere in the party. However, he was then working as the national convenor of the party. But since then, within 15 months, Akash's career has upsur down a lot and now he is no longer part of the party.
Mayawati made Akash Anand the national coordinator of the party for the first time in 2019. Then Akash's father and his younger brother Anand Kumar became the vice president of the party. Now in her new decision, Mayawati removed Akash from all the posts of the party and appointed her father Anand Kumar as well as Ramji Gautam as the national coordinator. A day after Akash was removed from all the posts, he was also expelled from the party.
The year 2023 Akash was very spectacular for Anand. He got married this year. Akash married Dr. Pragya Siddharth on 26 March 2023 in Gurugram. Many celebrities including Bua Mayawati also attended the wedding. The wedding reception was held on 29 March in Noida. Then 8 months later, Bua announced to make him his political successor.
Before becoming a political successor, Akash played an important role as in -charge of the party in the assembly elections held in Rajasthan. Also, he did a lot of work for the party in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana. It is a different matter that the party failed to leave a special impact in these states.
However, by passing by 2023 and coming in 2024, Akash was seen leaving the fate together. During the Lok Sabha election campaign, Akash was constantly attacking the Bharatiya Janata Party, in such a situation, there was a lot of pressure on Mayawati. He removed Akash Anand from the post of National Coordinator of the party on 8 May amid the election campaign. Then he had said about his decision that he needs to be more mature right now.
After the Lok Sabha elections, Akash's position increased again. Ashok Siddharth is considered an important role in making him a national coordinator for the second time in the party. Akash was given important responsibility in the assembly elections of Haryana and Delhi. Meanwhile, there was a tension between Rajya Sabha MP Ramji Gautam and Ashok Siddharth in the party. Ashok Siddharth was made in charge of the party in Rajasthan as well as Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Maharashtra and Delhi assembly elections, but the party's performance was very poor.
Akash Anand entered politics in the year 2017 at the age of 22. After his early studies in Noida, he earned an MBA degree from London. Then Akash made his political debut in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh by rally with Bua Mayawati. This start was also special because strong leaders like Akhilesh Yadav and Ajit Singh were also present on the stage.
About 2 years later, during the Lok Sabha elections in 2019, Akash gave a speech at his first election rally in Agra. The BSP was part of the Grand Alliance before this general election. This grand alliance was opposing both the Congress and the BJP. But the coalition did not achieve special success.
Before taking action on Akash Anand, Mayawati had expelled her father -in -law and once very close to Ashok Siddharth on charges of anti -party activities. Mayawati then said in her judgment, "BSP, who was in charge of the southern states, is expelled from the party with immediate effect due to his involvement in anti -party activities, including Dr. Ashok Siddharth and former MP Nitin Singh."
Ashok Siddharth is a doctor by profession and he joined BSP in 2007. Very soon he became very close to Mayawati. But now both Ashok Siddharth and his son -in -law Akash Anand have been shown the way out of the party. Now it has to be seen what their next step is.
