Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal will go to Punjab for a 10 -day Vipassana session today, about a month after his party lost power in Delhi. AAP sources said that Kejriwal will leave for Hoshiarpur for a meditation camp on Tuesday (today).
Sources said that he would attend the Vipassana session at a center there from March 5 to March 15. Kejriwal attended the 10 -day session at Dhamma Dhaja Vipassana Center in Anandgarh, Hoshiarpur in December 2023.
Earlier, he went to Hoshiarpur after receiving summons from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning in the money laundering case related to the excise policy. Kejriwal has not publicly revealed after losing the election from New Delhi seat in the Delhi assembly elections of February 5 and he has confined himself to the party related activities.
The Aam Aadmi Party ruled Delhi from 2015 to 2024 with a huge mandate but in this recent assembly elections it was reduced to 22 seats in the 70 -member house. The BJP won 48 seats and ended the dominance of Kejriwal's party here. Many big leaders including Manish Sisodia, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Satyendra Jain and Somnath Bharti lost.
After the defeat, AAP's Delhi Unit is holding organizational meetings. Its convenor Gopal Rai said that only the leaders who performed well in the elections will be given the responsibility in the organization. Kejriwal's Punjab tour is also important about the Congress claim that many AAP MLAs are ready to go into his court. AAP has denied all such rumors, including the removal of Bhagwant Mann from the post of Chief Minister of the state.
