Meghan Markle's 'present parent' admission in new Netflix show trailer

The Duchess of Sussex has opened up about the joys of being "a present parent" in the latest trailer for her brand new programme, 'With Love, Meghan', which is set to release on Tuesday. In the fresh teaser, we see Meghan crafting an eye-catching rainbow-shaped platter loaded with fruit and she suggests that families whip up one for their kids' breakfast to make the start of their days "a lot more fun".

Meghan, mum to five-yea-old Archie and three-year-old Lilibet, shared: "It's a real delight in being able to be a present parent, and it's a luxury sometimes, because we all have to work.

"We all have a lot of stuff to do, but when you can take a minute to just..." Meghan paused, as one of her filming crew then chimed in with "Saturday morning", to which she smiled and agreed. She continued: "Finding the fun in those moments makes for a really sweet start to the weekend."

In an interview with People magazine, Meghan opened up about the "learning curve" she experienced with her lifestyle series and brand, admitting there had been "tons of twists and turns".

She also clarified that she does not identify as an influencer or a 'tradwife'. She expressed gratitude to those who "gave me the grace to make mistakes and figure it out".

"With Love, Meghan premieres tomorrow! @meghan" will air on Netflix at 8am UK time on Tuesday, following a delay due to the Los Angeles wildfires. This show is seen as a crucial moment for the Sussexes, who signed a lucrative deal with Netflix in 2020.

Meghan recently renamed her lifestyle brand to As Ever, after facing trademarking issues with the previous name, American Riviera Orchard. Speaking to People magazine, she said: "I appreciate everyone who gave me the grace to make mistakes and figure it out, and also to be forgiving with myself through that. It's a learning curve."

Meghan Markle opened up about her project, revealing, "tons of twists and turns – even with the name", and confessed that she was "I was figuring it out in real time."

She expressed the joy she experienced while working on the series: "As a woman, a mom and a wife, to be able to find yourself again ... is a wonderful feeling."

Meghan talked about her role and self-perception: "I see myself as an entrepreneur and a female founder, and if the brand ends up influential, then that's great."

While some have suggested Meghan is endorsing the tradwife movement, she disagrees, explaining she's all for a "hybrid" approach, even when it comes to takeout. "I like being able to do a hybrid but even when I get takeout, I will try to plate it beautifully," she told People magazine.

The publication also mentioned that only has a brief showing in the final episode of the eight-part series. Reflecting on her past ventures before becoming a royal, Meghan reminisced over shutting down her lifestyle blog The Tig, known for its insights on social issues and fashion.

"Well, I loved The Tig, but I certainly love my husband more," she shared, noticing a "spark" in Harry that takes him back to when they initially met.

She even revealed a touching moment with her son Archie, recounting his words to her: "Mama, don't work too hard" as he snuggled up next to her.

Archie lent a hand with the clapperboard during a set visit alongside Princess Lilibet and Harry, with parts of the series being shot in the Sussexes' chicken coop, garden and orchard. The Duchess has come under fire for filming the show in a Californian farmhouse instead of her Montecito residence.

The magazine offers a glimpse into the Sussexes' family life in Montecito, detailing quiet lunch dates between Harry and Meghan, their favourite TV shows including Shrinking, Black Doves and The White Lotus, and Meghan's growing circle of mum friends and playdates.
