Pune: e-KYC has been made mandatory for all ration card holders in Maharashtra. Earlier, free KYC was done through e-POS machine at cheap grain shops. But many problems were coming in this process. Now the government has given good news for ration card holders and has extended the deadline for e-KYC till March 15. Also, now the beneficiaries do not need to go to the ration shop. They can do e-KYC from their mobile sitting at home.
Let us tell you that earlier this process was done only at cheap grain shops, but now citizens can do the verification sitting at home using the 'Mera e-KYC' mobile app. For this, it is necessary to download the Aadhaar Face RD Seva app and Mera e-KYC app. Keeping in mind the convenience of the citizens, the government has extended the deadline till March 15. This will not require ration card holders to stand in long queues and the process will be simplified.
'Mera e-KYC' mobile app has been launched.
Under the Public Distribution System, food grains are distributed to Antyodaya and priority families at cheap rates. As per the government's instructions, e-KYC is mandatory for all beneficiaries. Now for the convenience of the citizens, the government has launched the 'Mera e-KYC' mobile app. With this, beneficiaries can complete e-KYC of themselves and all the members of their ration card sitting at home without going to any cheap food grain shop.
How to update e-KYC:
To do e-KYC, two apps have been made available - Aadhaar Face RD Seva App and Mera e-KYC Mobile App. It is necessary to download both these apps on your mobile. Only then can you do e-KYC. Download Mera e-KYC Mobile App. On this app, verification can be done quickly and easily through face authentication technology. The shopkeeper of the cheap grain shop or any other member can also do e-KYC.
