The video, uploaded by Leila Purchase on TikTok on Feb. 24, has racked up over 460,000 views as of March 4 and sparked a wave of reactions, particularly from Malaysian users.

In the video, Purchase reveals a large black duffel bag from her apartment in London and says, “I’ve been putting this off for weeks, but it’s now or never because I’m literally going to eat everything, and there’ll be nothing left to show.”

She then unzips the bag to unveil an impressive stash of Malaysian treats, including candy, cookies, instant noodles, and even tom yum powder. Among her haul are local favorites such as Fruit Plus and Kopiko candy, Tao Kae Noi seaweed, Milo powder, Goldfish crackers, Mi Sedaap instant noodles, and 17 packets of Mak Nyonya tom yum paste.

She also said she would soon go back to visit Malaysia as soon as possible.

Her snack-filled luggage quickly caught the attention of Malaysian netizens, who flooded the comments with amused reactions.

One user joked, “It’s as though you want to open a convenience store over there.”

Another user commented, “You are now Malaysian.”

A user suggested that she should have brought home some Malaysian staples like belacan (shrimp paste), cencalok (fermented krill), tempoyak (fermented durian), petai, budu (anchovy sauce), sambal, and durian.

Durian is primarily grown in tropical countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia, distinctive for its large size, strong odor and thorn-covered rind.

Malaysia is known for Musang King, one of the most popular varieties of durian known for its buttery, thick, bright yellow flesh and robust flavor, with a hint of bitterness.
