Amid India’s Got Latent controversy, Samay Raina is depressed and scared; YouTuber’s friend says ‘Toota hua hai’

There has been a lot of controversy surrounding comedian Samay Rainas show India Got Latent recently. The uproar began after popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia made a controversial statement on the show sparking widespread backlash. Amidst the ongoing debate one of Samay Rainas friends has come forward revealing that the comedian is deeply affected by the controversy. YouTuber Shwetabh Gangwar who is also Samay’s friend shared in an interview that Samay Raina is currently struggling with depression. In a now-deleted video Shwetabh mentioned that he had a phone call with Samay during the controversy and found him extremely distressed. He told the Free Press Journal Bhaisahab toota hua hai vo insaan (He is a broken man). When the controversy first started I could still see the old Samay in him but the last time I spoke to him he seemed completely shattered-depressed sad and scared. Shwetabh further revealed that he took a break from social media because he felt helpless and unable to support Samay during such a difficult time. I was emotionally drained. I couldn’t bear to see my friend in that condition he said. The individuals associated with India Got Latent continue to make headlines. Recently reports emerged that Ranveer Allahabadia has received court approval to resume his podcast with the condition that all future content must be suitable for viewers of all ages. Following the controversy Ranveer Samay Raina Ashish Chanchlani and Apoorva have also faced legal challenges.
