Mahavir Shah often played the role of a ruthless inspector in many films. However in real life he was known to be a humble and down-to-earth person. All about late actor Mahavir Shah: Mahavir Shah was born on 5 April 1960 in Mumbai. From a young age he aspired to become an actor and began his acting career in 1977 with the film Ab Kya Hoga where he played the role of a driver. Starting with small negative roles Mahavir soon gained recognition in the industry and became known as one of Bollywood’s most feared villains. Over the years he appeared in several successful films cementing his place in the industry. Some of his most iconic films include Ankush (1986) Dayavan (1988) Tezaab (1988) Narasimha (1991) Shola Aur Shabnam (1992) Tiranga (1992) Raja Babu (1994) Coolie No. 1 (1995) Judwaa (1997) Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (1998) and Mehndi (1998). Mahavir Shahs tragic death: Known for his versatility Mahavir effortlessly portrayed both serious and comedic roles. Just as his career was thriving tragedy struck. On 31 August 2000 while on a two-month vacation in the US Shah met with a fatal accident. His car collided with another vehicle but his wife Chetna daughter and son survived. However when Mahavir stepped out of the car he was tragically hit by another vehicle leading to his untimely death. His passing was a heartbreaking loss for his family and a huge shock to the film industry.
