Following Kannada actress Ranya Rao's recent arrest in Bengaluru about a suspected gold smuggling case, Jatin Hukkeri, her husband, is under investigation. He allegedly made numerous trips to Dubai with Rao, according to the police. 

Following four travels to Dubai in a 15-day period, Ranya, who married Hukkeri in a high-profile ceremony at Taj West End a few months ago, attracted the notice of investigators. 

At Kempegowda International Airport, Rao was found in possession of gold bars valued at ₹12.56 crore, according to the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI). After that, authorities searched her home and found cash worth ₹2.67 crore and gold jewelery worth ₹2.06 crore.
