An engagement ceremony in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh turned dramatic after bride's alleged girlfriend gatecrashed the celebration. The woman claimed she was in a four-year-long live-in relationship with the bride and couldn't agree with her getting married to someone else. The upset and angry 'girlfriend' told the wedding guests the bride had previously convinced her to reject any marriage alliance. The woman tried to hold the hands of the bride and walk away with her.

Engagement takes dramatic turn in UP

The incident was reported from a celebration held at the Ruby Hotel in the Gandhi Park area of the city. A woman identified as Bina walked into the engagement ceremony and mentioned she was in a long term relationship with the bride, who was getting engaged to a man from Aligarh. As Bina made the huge allegation in front of several invitees, the celebration took a dramatic turn and ended up with police intervention.

Bride's same sex love story surfaces

According to reports, Bina and the bride, whose identity stays undisclosed, studied in the same coaching class where they fell in love and got into a romantic relationship. Since 2021, they promised to live with each other and reject any marriage proposals.

Bina told the media that the bride had threatened her of committing suicide if she tied the knot with someone else by agreeing to a regular wedding. They were said to be in a relationship without intimating their family about their same-sex love story.

Groom's family cancels wedding

When Bina learned about the bride getting engaged with a man, she rushed to the venue and stood up when the couple stepped on stage. She objected the wedding preparations and rituals.

Notably, bride denied all claims made by Bina.

Noting the ruckus created at the engagement, police was called.

The groom's family called off the wedding after learning about his bride being in an alleged same-sex relationship.
