Soon after India reached the finale of the intense Champions Trophy 2025, Aravind Srinivas, CEO and founder of Perplexity AI, has announced a live contest to celebrate the team's advancement to the finals, following Rohit Sharma's team clinching a major victory over Australia in the ICC Champions Trophy semi-final.
After winning against the mighty Australia, India's win has secured them a spot in the championship finale, which is scheduled to take place on March 9.
“Now that India is in the final, Perplexity will run a contest for the final as promised. Prize will be at least 1 crore. Maybe even more. Stay tuned. Rules TBD,” he said.
While the details of the contest are yet to be revealed, Perplexity AI has hinted that it may require users to engage with the platform during the final match. This strategy appears similar to their successful “Million Dollar Question” campaign during the Super Bowl, suggesting that users could be rewarded for using Perplexity AI to answer questions or interact with content related to the ICC Champions Trophy final.
“Scorecards and Live Widgets coming in time for semis. And if India makes it to the final, a live contest similar to Superbowl, except, winner can be from outside the USA too. Rules still TBD. What should the cash prize be?” he said in a previous post.
