Till now the US had avoided direct conversation with Hamas, as it considers it a terrorist organization. But now according to the BBC report, American officials have met Hamas representatives in Qatar. The report said that American messenger Adam Bohrler has met Hamas representatives twice in Doha in recent weeks. Prior to this conversation, many other means were communicated.

How many hostages in Gaza?
According to Israel, 59 hostage are still present in Gaza, of which 24 are likely to be alive. These include American citizens. Trump's threat shows that the US stands perfectly in support of Israel and is in the mood to put more pressure on Hamas. Now it has to be seen how seriously Hamas takes this warning and whether he takes any step for the release of the hostages.
