According to Inquirerin a conversation with Filipino TV host Boy Abunda, Milby opened up about a viral video of Gray crying on the shoulder of her friend, Filipino actress Isabel Oli, at singer TJ Monterde’s concert in February. The actor was also present at the event but was seated several seats away from her.
“A woman I still love and care about… I see a few seats away from me is crying,” he said.
Milby mentioned that he had been informed that Gray would be attending the event. He admitted that seeing her emotional display left him conflicted and unsure how to react, and he described feeling uneasy during the concert.
“If people thought that I was comfortable, it was the complete opposite,” he reflected. “It was something that should be celebrated because it was a beautiful concert, my best friend John Prats was directing, but it was a hard situation and I was kind of frozen at the time. It wasn’t easy at all.”
However, he refrained from discussing the reasons behind their breakup, emphasizing that he couldn’t go into specifics. He had previously admitted that moving on has been “really hard” for him.
Milby, who had been publicly in a relationship with Gray since 2020 and engaged to her in 2023, confirmed their split in February. The news followed speculation when Gray was seen without her engagement ring in social media posts and had removed engagement photos from her accounts. The video of the February concert further fueled rumors of their breakup.
At 31, Gray is one of only four Filipinos to win the Miss Universe title. She had previously won Miss World Philippines 2016, Miss Universe Philippines 2018, and was a top five finalist at Miss World 2016.
Milby, 41, first gained fame as a participant in the inaugural season of the TV reality show “Pinoy Big Brother.”
