Bhind (Madhya Pradesh): A 58-year-old woman was killed and her husband injured in a road accident in Kanathar village under Amayan police station on Friday night when a tractor-trolley hit their bike from behind. The woman died on the spot and her injured husband was undergoing treatment in a hospital.
After the accident, the angry villagers blocked traffic. On getting information, the police rushed to the spot and pacified the agitators who lifted the road blockade. The police registered a case against the tractor-trolley driver.
According to reports, Prahlad Singh Kushwaha and his wife Manobai went to attend a religious event. As soon as the couple reached Kanathar waiting room on Amayan Gata road, the tractor-trolley hit the bike. On reaching the spot, the police sent Prahlad to a hospital.
After the postmortem, the police handed over the body of the woman to her family members.
Youth shot at in drunken brawl
Youth shot at his friend in a drunken state and injured him near Sultansingh Ka Pura canal. The youths entered into a brawl after consuming liquor, but the situation came to such a pass that one fired a shot at the other person. According to reports, a party was underway in Sultansingh Ka Purwa.
Rinku Tumar, resident of Durga Nagar, Golu Rajawat, resident of Pandri, and Ashu Bhadoria also took part in the party. Meanwhile, Rinku and Golu entered into a fight. Golu then fired a shot from a country-made gun. The bullet hit Ashu. The police reached the spot and sent the injured to the district hospital from where he was referred to the trauma centre. Golu ran away after the incident.
