Chelsea were fantastic in the opening stages at Stamford Bridge, with Cole Palmer pulling the strings and coming close when he struck the post with a header just four minutes in. After 20 minutes, Palmer finally got his goal when he swept Jadon Sancho's cross into the roof of the net from close range, and just before the break, the Englishman got an assist as he set up Pedro Neto for 2-0.
Some neat footwork from Palmer saw him weave past two defenders on the right and break into the box. Palmer drilled a ball into the path of Neto, and after flicking the ball onto his left, the forward smashed his shot into the bottom corner to double the lead.
Leicester pulled a goal back in the 74th minute when Jamie Vardy capitalised on a mistake from Levi Colwill to surge through on goal and score, but the Blues did enough to hold off any late pressure from the visitors and see out a much-needed three points in the Premier League.
