Brad Fuller, who produces the A Quiet Place film series along with his producing partners, director Michael Bay and Andrew Form, confirmed the development of A Quiet Place 3. Brad Fuller confirmed the news in a conversation with The Direct at the South by Southwest Film Festival while promoting The Astronaut.

About the film, Fuller said, “So, ‘Day One‘ is not ‘A Quiet Place 3,’ just to be clear… ‘A Quiet Place 3,’ we’re starting to put it together right now. You know, when we made the first one, John didn’t have a lot on his plate. He had just come off ‘The Office,’ and he wanted to be a director. Now, he’s so in demand, and it’s hard to get him… He’s making a movie now, so as soon as he finishes that, hopefully, he will turn his attention to [‘A Quiet Place 3‘]. We all want to finish that trilogy, and I’m hopeful there’s even more ‘Quiet Place‘ movies beyond that.”

A Quiet Place (2018) and A Quiet Place: Part II (2021) were directed by John Krasinski and produced by Bay, Form, and Fuller. While A Quiet Place (2018) was written by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, Krasinski wrote and also served as a producer on A Quiet Place: Part II (2021). The films follow the Abbott family as they struggle to survive in a world filled with aliens that have sensitive hearing. The films starred Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, Cillian Murphy, Djimon Hounsou, and Krasinski.

A spinoff titled A Quiet Place: Day One was released in 2024. With a story by Michael Sarnoski and Krasinski, it was directed by Michael Sarnoski. It starred Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn as two people who fight to survive the day the aliens, with sensitive hearing, crashed on Earth. Djimon Hounsou reprised his role from A Quiet Place: Part II.
