UPPCS Mains Preparation: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has declared the results of the preliminary examination of Combined State / Senior Subordinate Service, also known as UPPCS in the common language. According to the examination schedule of the commission, the main examination will start on June 29, 2025. It is time for the candidates appearing in it to finalize their preparation.

Hindi and essay question papers play an important role in the main examination. By working a little hard on these, good marks can be achieved. This not only helps in reaching the interview but also increases the chances of getting a good rank. However, this requires the right strategy and regular practice.

If you are also going to appear in the main examination of PCS, then by keeping some things in mind, you can get the desired marks in these question papers.

For passage questions

Read passages from Hindi newspapers and important books and try to make a summary of them. To understand the nature of the question, look at the previous years' questions and solve them. To complete this section on time, it is very important to read fast and develop analytical skills. Make a habit of writing a summary of the passage in 100-150 words. This is possible only when you solve as many passages as possible.

The right way to write an essay

The essay in the PCS exam is divided into three sections. One essay has to be written for each part. In such a situation, it becomes important to choose the right essay. After choosing the right topic, spend some time thinking about the ideas related to it. Keep noting the main points, arguments, examples, and relevant data. You will benefit from this during the exam. Write one essay daily or two to three essays a week on contemporary topics and use simple but effective language.

Hindi grammar and spelling

Many students pay less attention to grammar, whereas it is useful in all sections of Hindi. Understand sandhi, samas, prefix, suffix, rasa, alankar, chhand well. For this, pay more attention to the words asked in previous exams. Quantitative mistakes in Hindi are not at all forgivable. Therefore, while writing the answer, pay special attention to spelling and vowels.

Repeat the rules

You should try to improve your Hindi language skills. Prefer good study material and authentic books. To avoid basic mistakes, repeat grammar rules daily, expand your vocabulary, and practice writing in Hindi regularly.
