How to upload HD photos and videos on Instagram
First of all open Instagram app on your phone.

You should record photos and videos in high quality resolution in your camera or phone. The more pixels there are, the better the photos and videos will be. Use JPEG for photos. MP4 is the preferred format for videos.
Bitrate is important in video quality. Higher bitrate means the video uses more data per second. Always target at least 5-10 Mbps bitrate for 1080p videos.
