A sub-inspector posted in Agra Police Commissionerate of Uttar Pradesh has died under suspicious circumstances. The sub-inspector, who hailed from Orai in Jalaun, had come home on leave and after that, he went missing. Eight days later, on Sunday, his body was found in Yamuna near Kalpi. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and after identifying the sub-inspector, got the post-mortem done. According to the police, it is a case of a missing person. It is surprising that the sub-inspector does this. At present, the police are investigating the matter.

According to Jalaun police, the inspector has been identified as Jitendra, a resident of Rajendra Nagar in the Orai Kotwali area. He was currently posted in the Reserve Police Line of Agra Police Commissionerate. He had come home on leave from Agra eight days ago. Jitendra's brother Sunil said that after coming home, he kept his bag and left saying that he was going to the stadium to meet his friend. He went missing since then. Sunil said that when his father went to the stadium for a walk in the evening, he did not see Jitendra there.

In such a situation, when he called Jitendra, he said that he was with his friend and after a while, the phone was switched off. When he did not return till late night, his friend was questioned and he told that he had not met Jitendra for 15 days. Suspecting something untoward, a complaint was lodged with the police at the same time. After this, the police registered a missing person case and started investigation. Meanwhile, on Sunday morning, people living near Laxman Das's cottage near Raidh Diara in Kalpi Kotwali area informed the police about finding a dead body.

When the police reached on this information, the upper part of the body was missing. The lower part was a lower. His phone, purse and PAN card were found in it. This helped in his identification. Sunil said that he does not know what was going on in his brother's mind and why he committed suicide. CO Orai Archana Singh said that the post-mortem of the body is being done. The police is investigating the matter.
