This is a special savings scheme started by the Government of India. This scheme was implemented in India from 1 April 2023. Women get very good interest in this scheme.

This much interest will be available

Let us tell you that this scheme is for two years. At least one thousand rupees can be deposited in it. So at the same time, a maximum of up to Rs 2 lakh can be invested in this scheme. In this scheme, interest is deposited in the account every three months. Women also get good interest for investing in Mahila Samman Savings Certificate Scheme. If we talk about the present, interest is being given in this scheme at the rate of 7.5% per annum. Women also get tax benefits in this scheme. If the girl is under 18 years of age, her parents or guardians can open an account in this scheme.

This is how to apply

Only women and girls can apply in the Government of India's Mahila Samman Savings Certificate Scheme. Guardians of minor girls can open their account. The applicant must have Indian citizenship in the scheme. No upper limit has been fixed for age in the scheme. To open an account in this scheme, women can go to their nearest post office or nearest bank branch and fill the form. For application, related documents like passport size photo, age certificate, Aadhar card, PAN card and address proof will have to be submitted.
