In Patiala, Punjab, the Bambiha gang's leading arms supplier was injured in an encounter with the police on Monday. In this encounter late in the evening, the gangster was shot in the leg. The accused has been identified as Tejinder Singh alias Tej. He is a resident of Rajpura. It is being told that many cases of Arms Act are registered against Tejinder Singh.
According to the information, the police had received secret information, after which the police blocked the area. During this time, the police indicated to stop Tejinder Singh but he fired on the police car. It is being told that Gangster Singh fired two bullets on the car. After this, the police started retaliation. A police bullet hit Tejinder Singh's leg, which injured him.
Giving information, SSP Dr. Nanak Singh said that Tejinder Singh was related to Bambiha gang. He used to supply weapons from Madhya Pradesh and supply the gang. He also told that these weapons were further used by the gang to carry out various incidents in Punjab.
The SSP said that a large amount of intoxicating bullets, a revolver and two cartridges have been recovered from the accused Tejinder Singh on the spot. A video of this case has also surfaced. In which it can be clearly seen that a packet has white colored pills and revolvers on the ground. The police has admitted Tejinder Singh to the hospital for treatment and has started in further investigation.
The SSP said that there are five cases against Tejinder Singh, one of which is a drug trafficking, three Arms Act and one murder case. According to the police, the special cell police had received secret information that Tejinder Singh is coming on the bike. After which the police blocked the blockade. Then Tejinder was seen coming from the front, the police gestured him to stop but instead of stopping, he started firing bullets.
Tejinder Singh fired two bullets on the vehicle of no police, in which one hit the bonnet of the vehicle and the other hit the side of the vehicle. After which the police also opened fire in which Tejinder was shot in his leg and he was injured. The SSP says that in various police stations of Punjab, it will be found out which Tejinder is wanted in cases.
