The sorrow of the World Cup 2023 defeat may not have been overcome, but Team India has definitely reduced it by winning the Champions Trophy title. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the Indian team defeated New Zealand in the final to win the tournament title. With this, after 12 years, Team India became the champion of a ICC ODI tournament. The joy of this victory is not only for the Indian players, but the whole country because the dream being seen for many years is now fulfilled. But even in this victory, 3 special players of Team India got a little disappointed because they missed it.

Team India won the Champions Trophy title for the third time with a win in the final in Dubai. Along with this, veterans like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja added another trophy to their account, while experienced players like Mohammed Shami, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul won their first title. But there are three such players playing continuously for Team India, who missed out on becoming a part of this success due to different reasons.

Jaspreet Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah is considered the backbone of Indian bowling. He played the most important role in winning the title of T20 World Cup to Team India last year. However, injuries have hindered his career, due to which he stayed away from many big tournaments. Something similar happened with him during the Champions Trophy. He was ruled out of this tournament just before the tournament due to injury on Australia tour. Team Indian definitely felt their shortage on some occasions but still the team won the title. If Bumrah was in the team, then at this time he would have a medal and white jacket of the Champions Trophy.

Mohammad Siraj

Mohammad Siraj has impressed everyone with his bowling in recent years. Especially in the ODI format, he was the highest wicket -taking bowler for India in the last 2 years. His swing and continuous good line-length made him an important part of Team India. However, just before the tournament, due to a slight decline in the form and the circumstances of Dubai, he could not make a place in the squad due to the balance of the team and missed this title to be a part of success.

Yashasvi Jaiswal

Yashasvi Jaiswal is one of the emerging stars of Indian cricket. After a great performance in domestic cricket and IPL, Jaiswal has performed amazing since his career started in Test cricket. However, due to the presence of senior players in the top order, he could not confirm his place in ODI format and that is why he did not get a place in the Champions Trophy team this time. However, like Bumrah and Siraj, they were also part of the T20 World Cup winning team last year, but the opportunity to write his name on the second trophy got out of his hand.
