Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan who has competed 25 years of being the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) is reportedly taking departure from the quiz-based show. The show is currently in its Season 16 and Big B has been hosting it since 2007 when he was 57. As per several reports the superstar wants to reduce his workload. He also bid an emotional farewell to the show in the final episode of KBC 15. There have been reports that Big B asked the makers to find a new host for his show. But the channel failed to find his replacement and the actor was forced to continue hosting. According to the recent research study conducted by the Indian Institute of Human Brands (IIHB) and Rediffusions Red Lab Shah Rukh Khan has been the top choice to replace Big B on KBC. The survey conducted among 768 respondents revealed Shah Rukh Khan Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Mahendra Singh Dhoni as their top picks for the new host in the upcoming season. However there has been no official confirmation yet regarding the same. With 63% votes SRK was picked as the top pick following Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with 51% votes MS Dhoni with 37%. The next two picks were Harsha Bhogle and Anil Kapoor with 32% and 15% voting in their favour. Aamir Khan Madhuri Dixit Shashi Tharoor and Chetan Bhagat were also few names among voters choice. Interestingly 42% of the population still want Amitabh Bachchan to continue hosting KBC. However still waiting for the confirmation from Sony TV whether Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 is the last season of Big B or not.
