PhonePe is the most used UPI app in India. Most UPI transactions are done through this app. Apart from this, PhonePe is used for many other digital services such as bill payments, insurance, recharge etc. Through this app, you can do many of your financial tasks. If ever you have to delete your PhonePe account, then what will you have to do? Let's know...

Do this work first

Before deleting the PhonePe account, you have to keep some things in mind. You will be able to delete your PhonePe account only when you do not completely stop the financial services taken from this app.

If you have taken any kind of loan from the PhonePe account, then the loan amount has to be cleared before closing the account.

Apart from this, if you have taken any SIP through PhonePe, then first withdraw your invested amount.

Not only this, if you have bought gold through PhonePe or started any fund etc., then sell the gold and close the fund before closing the account.

Also, you have to unlink all your bank accounts linked to PhonePe. Not only this, if you can withdraw the remaining balance in the PhonePe wallet, then withdraw it. After the account is closed, this balance will not be used.

Apart from this, turn off the active auto-payment service, UPI Lite etc. on PhonePe. Only after doing all these things, you should proceed towards deleting your PhonePe account.

Delete PhonePe account like this

First of all, go to your phone and open the PhonePe app.

After this, click on the question button given above.

On the next page, the option of Profile & Payments will appear. Click on it and proceed.

Here you click on the option of My PhonePe profile.

On the next page, click on the option My PhonePe Account details.

After this, you will see three options, out of which click on Deactivating PhonePe Account.

On the next page, you will get two options Can I Deactivating PhonePe Account temporarily and Can I Close My Account Permanently.

If you want to close your account completely, then click on the option Permanently.

Phone Pe Account Delete

Here you will be asked the reason for closing your account. You tell the reason for closing the account and click on Deactivating PhonePe Account.

After this, the PhonePe bot will give some information in the chat window and will ask you to Deactivate or not Deactivate.

You have to click on Yes Deactivate.

After doing this, your PhonePe account will be completely deactivated after 72 hours i.e. 3 days. If you want to keep the account active, then log in to your PhonePe account within 72 hours. In this way your account will become active again.
