All England Open Prize Money: At the renowned All England Open 2025 badminton competition, India’s two-time Olympic champion PV Sindhu will spearhead the nation’s attack. The much awaited event will get underway at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena on Tuesday.
When Indian shuttlers attempt to win the illusive All England Championships, they will have to overcome one of their most difficult obstacles due to injuries, health issues, and poor form.
No Indian has won the All England title, one of the sport’s most coveted awards after the Olympics and World Championships, since Prakash Padukone’s historic victory in 1980 and Pullela Gopichand’s victory in 2001.
With significant championships won by players like PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal, and Kidambi Srikanth, Indian badminton has reached unprecedented heights in the last 20 years. Nevertheless, despite their many achievements on the international front, none have been able to win the All England Championships.
Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand advanced to the semifinals in successive years, while Saina and Lakshya Sen finished as runners-up in 2015 and 2022.
