To start the business of spices, first of all you will need to get a license from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). You will have to get a license for making spices, for their packing and for selling.
The license issued by FSSAI is of three types. In which there are three types of licenses. In which FSSAI registration is for small traders whose turnover is up to 12 lakhs. So the State FSSAI license is for business from 12 lakhs to 20 crores. At the same time, the Central FSSAI license has to be taken for those doing business of more than 20 crores.
To apply for this license, you have to apply by visiting the official website of FSSAI https://foscos.fssai.gov.in/. Here you have to submit the necessary documents and pay the fixed fee. You want to do business in a locker. So you will have to obtain a license from the locker authority also.
