Material:
4-5 medium sized potatoes
1 teaspoon salt (as per taste)
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1/2 teaspoon black salt
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder (optional)
1/2 teaspoon celery (optional)
Oil (to fry)
Method:
Prepare potatoes: Wash and peel the potatoes thoroughly. Then cut the potatoes into thin slices. If you want, you can also use a cutting machine to make chips so that chips are equally cut.
Put the potatoes in water: Chopped potatoes immediately put it in cold water so that the starch present in the potato comes out. This will make chips crispy. After soaking the potatoes in water for about 15-20 minutes, take it out.
Take dry: Dry the potato slices well with a cotton cloth or kitchen towel, so that there is no water in them. This is important so that the chips become crisp during frying.
Heat oil: Put oil in a pan or deep pan and heat it on medium flame. The temperature of the oil should be correct, if the oil is very hot then the chips can burn, and if the oil is cool then the chips will be sticky.
Fry chips: Put the potato slices slowly into the oil. Do not put the chips too much at once, so that they do not stick to each other. Fry the chips until golden and crisp (about 5-7 minutes).
Remove chips: When the chips are well fried, remove them from the oil and place it on the tissue paper so that excess oil is removed.
Sprinkle the masala: Sprinkle salt, red chili powder, black salt, turmeric powder and celery on the chips immediately. You can use spices as per your choice.
Serve: Potato chips are ready. Serve and enjoy them with warm sauce or tea!
Suggestion: You can also store chips in an air-tight container so that they remain fresh for a long time.
