Dhanbad. Gangster Aman Sahu was a simple boy living in Matbe of Thakurgaon, adjacent to Ranchi.

He entered the world of crime at the age of 17 and soon started troubling the Jharkhand Police.

Passed intermediate with good marks

According to experts, in the early days Aman did not fight with anyone, but by the time he reached matriculation his company deteriorated. During that time he had to go to jail for the first time in a case.

He had to stay in jail for about 10 months. After that Aman completed his further studies. He passed Intermediate with good marks and then did a diploma.

After this he opened a mobile shop. Then gradually he came in contact with criminals and his influence started increasing.

There came a day when Aman started committing murders. He used to lure educated and high-tech youth with money.

Meanwhile, the police arrested Aman for the first time in 2019. However, he managed to escape from the police custody. Then somehow he came under the police custody three years later in 2022.

For 15 years, fear was maintained among the coal traders

For about 15 years, Aman gang had troubled the coal traders of the state. His gang targeted businessmen and contractors of many districts including Dhanbad, Bokaro, Giridih, Palamu, Chatra, Latehar, Ranchi, Ramgarh.

They used to demand extortion money from him over the phone and if he did not pay the extortion money, the gang did not hesitate to kill him. Aman used to run his criminal network from jail itself.

In the year 2022, when he was lodged in Giridih jail, he gave a contract to two criminals lodged in the jail to kill the jailor Pramod Kumar. For this, both of them were first bailed out.

After coming out of the jail, the youths opened fire on the jailor. However, the jailor narrowly escaped in that incident.

Was shifted to Palamu Central Jail

• Later Aman was shifted from Giridih to Palamu Central Jail, but even from there he continued to expand his criminal activities through his network. His name was also linked with underworld don Lawrence.
• If experts are to be believed, Aman himself had said during interrogation by Palamu police that he has entered the world of crime as a hobby. He wants to become a big don.
• His wish was that the maximum number of cases in the country should be registered against him so that people not only in the country but abroad also know him. Now after Aman's death, the businessmen of Koyalanchal are heaving a sigh of relief.
