The Indian team led by Rohit Sharma won the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 title. India defeated New Zealand by four wickets in the final. Pakistan was the tableau of the tournament. Basit said on his YouTube channel that I have created my team keeping in mind the performances in Dubai. Even though there were some great performances in Gaddafi Stadium, I chose the same team that I felt right. He said that Rohit Sharma was fantastic as captain. His 76 -run innings in the final won India.
He also gave a place to Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Glenn Philips and Ajmatullah Umarzai in his playing XI. Basit said that Akshar Patel on number 8 and Mitchell Santner liked Santner. He also put Matt Henry and Mohammed Shami in his team. Also gave place to Varun Chakraborty.
