Patna. This time people are confused about the date of Holi (Holi 2025 Date). According to Mithila and Banaras Panchang, Holika Dahan will be held on Thursday, March 13. Since the full moon of Falgun Shukla is for two days, Holi festival will be celebrated on March 15, a day after Holika Dahan.
The fast of Falgun Purnima will be on Thursday, March 13 and the Purnima of bathing and donation will be on Friday, March 14. Falgun Purnima is starting from 10.11 am on Thursday morning and Bhadra is also starting from the same time. Bhadra will remain till 10.47 pm on Thursday. Purnima Tithi is till 11.22 pm on Friday, March 14.
Astrology Acharya Pandit Rakesh Jha told citing Panchangs that on the full moon day, Shiv Vas Yog along with Bav Karan Shubh Yog will remain. In such a situation, worshiping Lord Shiva will increase happiness and prosperity in the house. Rules regarding Holika Dahan have been given in astrology. The full moon day on the day of Holika Dahan, time without Bhadra and night time are considered auspicious.
Burning Holika in Bhadra is considered forbidden. Purnima Tithi will prevail on the night of 13th March and Bhadra will end at 10.47 pm. In such a situation, Holika Dahan will take place in Uttara Phalguni Nakshatra after the end of Bhadra. On Friday, 14th March, the full moon at sunrise, the full moon of bathing and donation, sindoor will be offered to the Kuldevta.
Holika will be worshipped to get rid of diseases and sorrows
On the day of Holika Dahan, Holika will be worshipped with rice, Gangajal, roli-chandan, mauli, turmeric, lamp, sweets etc. After the worship, putting jaggery, camphor, sesame, incense, guggul, barley, ghee, mango wood, cow dung cakes (goitha) in Holika and circling it seven times brings happiness and peace to the family, increase in prosperity, decrease in negativity, freedom from disease and grief and fulfillment of wishes.
With the burning of Holika, God is prayed for the prosperity of the new crop. During Holika Puja, people of Aries, Scorpio, Leo and Taurus should offer jaggery. Gemini, Libra and Virgo should offer camphor. People of Cancer should offer guggul, Sagittarius and Pisces should offer barley and gram and people of Capricorn and Aquarius should offer sesame seeds as an offering to Holika.
Holi will be celebrated on 15th due to the combination of auspicious constellations
Holi, the festival of colours, is celebrated on Uday Vyapini Chaitra Krishna Pratipada. Holi will be celebrated on Chaitra Krishna Pratipada, Saturday, March 15. On this day, there will be a combination of two auspicious constellations. On the day of Holi, Uttaraphalguni constellation will remain till 7:46 am and then Hasta constellation will remain for the whole day.
There will be Vriddhi Yoga after 12.55 pm. According to the scriptures, the use of red, yellow and pink colors is considered auspicious in Holi. Feelings of hatred and enmity fade in front of colors.
