Real Madrid attacker Arda Guler reportedly makes a key decision over his future as two Italian giants keep tabs on his situation.

Real Madrid attacker Arda Guler is reportedly prepared to leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer amid interest from Italian giants AC Milan and Inter Milan.

There was a lot of hype over Guler’s arrival when he joined Real Madrid from Fenerbahce in the summer of 2023.

However, Guler has been unable to establish himself in the Real Madrid side, having seemingly failed to impress head coach Carlo Ancelotti.

The Turkey international was restricted to just 13 appearances in his first season with the Spanish giants due to a combination of injury issues and selection decisions, although he still managed to contribute six goals in 10 La Liga matches.

Guler has continued to find regular game time hard to come by during the current campaign, starting just 10 of his 29 appearances in all competitions, mustering three goals and five assists.

Guler makes Real Madrid decision

Ancelotti recently insisted that he has no issues with Guler and that he “needs time” to become a key member of the first-team squad.

However, according to SportGuler is willing to leave Real Madrid this summer if Ancelotti remains in his post for at least another season.

The attacker recognises that is not an integral part of Ancelotti’s plans and is reluctant to risk another season of being a squad player.

Real Madrid are open to sanctioning Guler’s departure as long as they have the option to bring him back to the Spanish capital in the future.

As a result, they will only consider a loan move or a permanent transfer with a buy-back option, as they still believe he has the potential to become an important player at the Santiago Bernabeu.

AC Milan, Inter keeping tabs on Guler

The same report claims that rivals AC Milan and Inter are among the clubs that are monitoring Guler’s situation in Madrid.

Milan and Inter could make a formal bid to sign him if it becomes clear that Real Madrid will entertain offers in the summer transfer window.

Guler and his representatives view Serie A as the best option for his development, as he looks to follow in the footsteps of his Turkey teammate, Kenan Yildizwho is enjoying regular game time at Juventus.

Optionely, carrots could have the option to move to the Bundesliga, with Eintracht Frankfurt said to be among his admirers.
