Amazing! PM took money from housing scheme, but did not build a house; Notice to 1.50 lakh beneficiaries of Bihar

The Bihar government has issued a notice against the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana. There are more than 1.50 lakh beneficiaries in the state whose required amount has been deposited in bank accounts. Even after the amount of housing scheme is deposited in the bank account, the beneficiaries have not completed the house. Notice has been issued against such beneficiaries who have not built a pucca house and have completed work.

Bihar Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar said in the assembly that the department has also filed a certificate case against those 19,495 defaulters who have not built houses under the scheme even after getting all the installments given by the government several months ago.

He said that white notice has been issued against a total of 82,441 beneficiaries. Through the notice, people are being used that if they want to avoid departmental action, then use the amount received to build a pucca house correctly. Apart from this, red notice has been issued to 67,733 beneficiaries, which means that despite repeated warnings, action will be taken against them for not completing the construction.

The minister said that even after the red notice, if people do not complete the housing work, then a certificate case is filed against them. The department has also filed a certificate case against 19,495 people so far. Under this scheme made keeping in mind the poor living in the village and countryside, pucca houses are provided with all basic facilities.

How much is the financial assistance amount?

Financial assistance of Rs 1,20,000 is given to a beneficiary to make the plains, while financial assistance of Rs 1,30,000 is provided for hilly and inaccessible areas such as Himalayan and North Eastern states and union territories like Jammu and Kashmir. 60 percent of the scheme is provided by the Center, while the remaining 40 percent amount is the state government.
