BTSC Vacancy Recruitment: There are many employment opportunities in the government hospitals of Bihar. Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTS) has recently issued a notification for recruitment to different posts. This recruitment process, which started on March 11, 2025, is going on for different posts, including the posts of Pharmacist, Dresser, Dentist, and General Medical Officer. In total, the commission has invited applications for more than 8,000 posts. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for these posts till 8 April 2025.

Pharmacist – 2473 posts

Dresser – 3326 posts

Dentist – 808 posts

General Medical Officer – 667 posts

Apart from this, earlier BTSC had also started the recruitment process for the posts of OT Assistant, X-Ray Technician, ECG Technician, and Lab Technician.

Application Process

Applications for all these posts have started from 11 March 2025, and candidates can apply till 8 April 2025. The application process will be on the official website of BTSC (btsc.bihar.gov.in).

Eligibility and Educational Qualification for Application

For Pharmacist – The candidate must have a Diploma in Pharmacy and registration with Bihar Pharmacy Council is required.

For Dresser – Candidate must have passed the matriculation examination and must have a certificate of Medical Dresser.

For Dentist – Must have a degree in Dental Surgery.

General Medical Officer – The Candidate must have a medical degree.

The age limit for all the posts has been fixed from 18 to 37 years, however, age limit relaxation will also be given as per the rules of the state government.

Examination and Selection Process

Appointment to all these para-medical posts will be done based on written examination. The written exam will carry a total of 75 marks, while the candidate's experience will be evaluated at the rate of 5 marks per year up to a maximum of 25 marks.

Application fee

The application fee for unreserved category, MBC, and EWS candidates will be Rs 600.

The application fee for reserved category, female candidates, and Divyang candidates of Bihar is Rs 150.

The application fee for candidates from other states will be Rs 600.

Exam dates for recruitment

The exams will be conducted on different dates. The exam for insect collector will begin on April 14, while the exam for laboratory technician, operation theatre assistant, ECG technician, and X-ray technician will begin on April 26. The exam for specialist medical officers (such as a surgeon, gynecologist, pediatrician, etc) will be conducted from April 27. All exams will be conducted in online mode.
