Ortega, who has enthralled fans playing Wednesday Addams, recently visited the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival to attend the premiere of her next horror-comedy film, Death of a Unicorn, for release in theaters on March 28, 2025.

Going on Instagram, the actress shared photos from the celebrity-studded event, thanking them, stating, “@sxsw business World Premiere @deathofaunicornmovie Thanks so much for having us, Austin. I love film festivals.” In addition to her festival thoughts, Ortega also went down memory lane, sharing a vintage photo from her days in Hungary while filming Wednesday Season 1, celebrating the camaraderie she shares with her co-stars.

During her trip to SXSW, Ortega discussed her working experience with Lady Gaga, the latter of which will be acting in Wednesday Season 2. In a report by IndieWire, she did not hide that she admired pop icon-turned-actress Gaga, saying, “It’s the best. She’s the best—definitely one of the most talented people I’ve ever worked with. It was just a really, really special environment to be there with her and Tim [Burton]two people that I respect and have been inspired by so much.”

Netflix has not yet announced the official release date for Wednesday Season 2, but the series remains among the most anticipated shows of 2025. Enthusiasts look forward to Nevermore Academy’s return and the darkly enchanting universe of Wednesday Addams.

Earlier, Jenna Ortega is reportedly facing threats to quit the Scream franchise after her co-star Melissa Barrera was fired for making pro-Palestine statements seen as invoking anti-Semitic stereotypes.

Barrera, who played the lead in the popular Scream reboot series, was let go by Spyglass Media Group after posting on Instagram about media censorship and questioning the suppression of information about the Palestinian side.
