Burger Bae, a D2C clothing brand led by Rohan Kashyap, Ojasvee Kashyap, and Janvi Sikaria, recently made an appearance on Shark Tank India. While their business pitch was the main focus, Rohan had something even more personal in mind—a proposal to his girlfriend, Janvi.

In an exclusive interview with Times of India TV, Rohan shared his experience on the show, revealing how it had been a long-time dream for him. "The entire experience was unreal. I have been manifesting this for almost two years. My wallpaper had been Shark Tank India for the longest time. We didn’t get a call initially, and I was paranoid because we were among the last ones to be selected."

Despite his excitement, Rohan admitted he had a fear of being on camera. However, the Shark Tank team provided ample support to help them prepare. Janvi, on the other hand, was more at ease due to her past experience in reality shows like Splitsvilla.

Rohan then revealed his secret plan, saying, "I was planning to propose to Janvi on the tank. But somehow, the Shark Tank India team got wind of my plan. They even made me sign a written agreement that I wouldn’t do any such thing. At the end of the day, it’s a show about entrepreneurship, and pulling off something like this would have taken away from that. I was even frisked by the team before entering the tank to make sure there’s no ring." To ensure he didn’t go through with his plan, the team even frisked him before he entered the tank to check if he was carrying a ring.

During the pitch, Janvi expressed her admiration for Aman Gupta, calling him her favorite Shark. Rohan humorously responded by revealing that Janvi was his girlfriend. He further spoke about how Janvi had initially joined their team as an intern while studying luxury brand management.

Burger Bae entered the tank seeking Rs 1 crore for 2.5% equity. Eventually, they secured a deal with Aman, Anupam, and Kunal, who offered Rs 2 crore for 20% equity.
