Succeeding in Bollywood is not everyones cup of tea. Whether it is an actor or a filmmaker everyone in the industry has to work hard to achieve success. Today we will talk about one such filmmaker who turned soil into gold and proved his mettle in the industry. This man earned Rs 35 as his first salary and now his net worth is said to be Rs 300 crore. He is known as India’s most successful modern filmmaker. His signature style involves turning and tossing cars in the air with high-octane action stunts. If you are guessing who we are talking about then the filmmaker in discussion is the one and only Rohit Shetty. Rohit Shetty is the son of veteran actor and stunt performer M.B. Shetty. Rohit was hardly 17 when he started his journey in the Bollywood industry. He first worked as an assistant director. Before even starting his work Rohit lost his father and in an interview the director revealed that he and his family had to go through a lot of financial crises. When Rohit started working under filmmaker Kuku Kohli he earned a mere Rs 35 as salary. To save money he would often walk from home to the set. He revealed that when he worked as an assistant he would often iron the clothes worn by actors in shots. However Rohit always had the zeal and passion for his work which helped him turn things around. Rohits career started with the film Phool Aur Kaante released in 1991. The movie featured Ajay Devgn and interestingly Rohits friendship with Ajay grew deep and today the duo is known to be the best of friends in the industry. Rohits directorial debut was with Zameen in 2003. Over the years Rohit has made 16 movies. His major breakthrough was Golmaal. The movie was a huge hit and brought fame and recognition to Rohit and the rest of the cast. Of these 12 have been box office hits with nine surpassing the Rs 100 crore mark. No other Indian director has as many films in the 100-crore club as Rohit. Sadly Rohits film Cirkus did not perform well. Rohits last release was Singham Again. The movie was a decent hit.
