Pakistan’s legendary qawwal, Amjad Sabri, died nine years ago, but his mesmerizing voice still echoes among his fans. Recently, shocking facts about his last bath have emerged.
Born on December 23, 1976, in Karachi to the renowned Sabri qawwal family, Amjad Sabri had his genes of talent inherited from his father, Ghulam Farid Sabri, who was himself a renowned qawwal. He started his career in music in 1988 and soon gained fame for his unique voice and style. His popularity reached places other than Pakistan as well, as he enthralled people in London, the USA, and India.
Sadly, on June 22, during the holy month of Ramzan, Amjad Sabri was traveling to a private TV channel’s broadcast when he was killed by unidentified gunmen. He was just 39 years old at the time, leaving behind five children and his wife in grief.
Recently, Ramzan Chhipa, the owner of Chhipa Foundation, revealed astonishing details about Amjad Sabri’s last bath after nine years. According to him, unusual events often occur during the ritual washing of the deceased, but while performing Amjad Sabri’s final bath, he experienced something extraordinary. He was momentarily stunned and stepped back when he saw Amjad Sabri suddenly smiling. Overwhelmed, he called the late qawwal’s family, who also witnessed the moment and began praying for him.
This discovery has created widespread debate on social media, where individuals have shared similar experiences regarding their late loved ones. Some people think that Amjad Sabri was a good soul, meant for a better world, while others criticized Ramzan Chhipa for sharing such an incident.
Some of the users shared their opinion that good and righteous people are known even after death, while others refuted the argument, saying that a dead person cannot smile or move. Another view was that the people who carry out the ritual bath are given the responsibility of keeping the deceased’s privacy, as Islamic teachings do not encourage such disclosure.
The debate goes on, with some viewing it as a miraculous event and others doubting its authenticity.
