The Indian Premier League (IPL) is on the beckoning as the 2025 edition of the much-awaited tournament gets underway on Saturday, March 22.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), among the latest franchise in the competition, have been closely watching the recovery of their pacers - Mayank Yadav, , and Mohsin Khan. Notably, the pace trio's participation in IPL 2025 is subject to fitness clearance by the BCCI Centre of Excellence (previously NCA). The cricketers are currently undergoing rehab and are yet to pass the checklist for taking part in the ten-team franchise competition.
According to Cricbuzz, at least a couple of pacers, however, are set to get a green signal from the board very soon, and will also be joining the LSG camp in Lucknow. For the record, Mayank faced a setback due to a back stress during his debut international series versus Bangladesh, and has remained on the sidelines ever since. The Indore-born Avesh, on the other hand, has been struggling with his knee of the landing foot.

LSG face Capitals to start IPL 2025The Lucknow team will be hoping for a speedy recovery, as they aim to clinch their maiden title after qualifying two out of the three editions they have played so far. In the latest edition, the team will be facing Delhi Capitals in what is going to be a tournament opener for both the sides. The game will be played on Monday, March 24 in Visakhapatnam, host for a couple of games for the Capitals this season.
Their opening clash is set to be a mouthwatering one, as star cricketers KL Rahul and have swapped their teams from the previous editions. Rahul previously captained LSG in all of their three seasons, while Pant had also been a long-standing captain for the Delhi side. LSG bought Pant for a massive bidding of INR 27 crore, which also made him the most expensive player to be ever auctioned. He will also captain the side this year.
