Earlier, where parents used to inspire their children only for studies, now parents are encouraging their children to participate in sports as well as sports.
The Union Minister said that now jobs are being given in sports as well, so now the youth will get the benefit of sports as well as jobs and it will be further development from here. He said that Modi ji has insisted on development. We are becoming a developed country. He said that Prime Minister Modi has also decided a vision for sports. Along with research, employment and industry, sports are equally important. PM Modi has built a roadmap for 2047, a part of which is also a game.
He said that sports are not just a source of enthusiasm or entertainment, but part of lifestyle. Sports have also got an important place in ancient Indian culture. Today is the era when we are motivating children to play. The game has now become a professional career, not just a hobby. Good players can get all three jobs, income and names.
Mandavia said that India will develop not only with infrastructure but from human development. The development of sports is an important part of this vision.
The goal is to include India in the top 5 sports countries of the world by 2047. India has to make complete preparations to host the Olympic by 2036. Children who are 8-14 years old today can represent the country in 2036.
He said that in June-July 2025, more than 30,000 sports officers will go to schools across the country in 'Talent Hunt'. National unique IDs and records of every talent will be made. A sports school will open in every district. With the help of private schools (PPP model) talented children will get sports, coaching, nutrition and education. The player selection will be completely transparent. Open competition, camera recording and supervisor will be present. Players will have to play at least 40 competitions a year for better performance at the international level.
The government itself will start the leagues if private investment is not received. The objective is that the players get the stage of the game continuously. A corporate partner and an excellence center (eg Karni Singh Shooting Range) will be fixed for every game. Talented players selected from all over the country will be trained there.
