The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Anand Jatav. The accused are the woman Bharti Dohre and her husband Shivraj Dohre. According to the police, Anand Jatav had an illicit relationship with Bharti's husband Shivraj while he was in jail. Anand continued to meet Bharti even after Shivraj was released from jail. On February 25, Anand reached Bharti's house in an inebriated state and insisted on having sex with Bharti in front of Shivraj. He said that he wanted to have sex in front of her husband. This angered Bharti and Shivraj. They decided to teach Anand a lesson.

Bharti and Shivraj planned to kill Anand. He took Anand to the jungle on his scooty. There he was given more alcohol to drink. Then Bharti told Anand to remove his clothes first if he wanted to have sex. As soon as Anand removed his clothes, Bharti and Shivraj put a noose around his neck and strangled him. After the murder, both of them burnt Anand's clothes and shoes there and fled from the spot. Villagers said that on the afternoon of February 25, a woman and a man were seen killing Anand and burning his clothes. Both fled on a black scooter.

With the help of CCTV footage, the police identified the accused as Bharti and Shivraj. After this, the police arrested Bharti from her rented house. The black scooty used in the incident has also been recovered. At present, the search for Bharti's husband is on.
