The Czech international got his big chance earlier in the season when he was rather unexpectedly called from the bench to replace an injured Alisson at Crystal Palace, and he did himself proud as he ensured the Reds held on for a 1-0 win. He'd go on to make his first senior start for the club and help them get past Brighton in the Carabao Cup, so he's certainly deserving of a medal should Liverpool beat Newcastle at Wembley on Sunday.

That though is more than likely to have been his last appearance of the season, and possibly his last appearance for the club. His contract expires this summer, and with Liverpool shaking up its goalkeeping department with the addition of , Jaros may well be looking elsewhere to further his career.

The hamstring injury picked up at West Ham in December was as cruel as they come. Having seemingly been surplus to requirements just a few months previously, the England international had stormed back into form in absence.

A recurrence of that hamstring problem reared its ugly head just 10 minutes into his comeback at Plymouth, and now there's every chance that Gomez may miss the rest of the season. There is still hope that he can return before the final day of the season in May, but if he's unable to, we might well have seen the last of him in a Liverpool shirt.

Gomez came close to leaving last summer, even going as far as being left out of the squad for the opening day at Ipswich. A move never materialized, but with Konate's partnership with Van Dijk only growing stronger, and Liverpool surely looking to strengthen its options at the back, Gomez's position looks more and more precarious.

You certainly wouldn't begrudge him the chance to go and get regular playing time elsewhere, although it would be a sad day for Liverpool fans to see such an integral part of the 2020 title win depart.

Like Gomez, could well spend the remainder of the season out injured, having undergone shoulder surgery last month. If he does return before the end of the campaign, it's unlikely we'll see him get much, if any, action.

The midfielder's last appearance came in Liverpool's defeat to PSV Eindhoven in the last league phase game of the Champions League, when Slot made sweeping changes to his side after already securing a spot in the knockout stages.

Morton was linked with a move away from Anfield last summer, with Bayer Leverkusen among those credited with an interest. Even in January, there were suggestions that , although Liverpool elected to keep hold of the 22-year-old.

It would be no surprise to see more interest in Morton this summer, and even less of a surprise if the midfielder decided he wanted to pursue a regular starting spot elsewhere.

The signing of has not gone to plan. As much as he looked like a bargain from Juventus last summer, even that opportunistic transfer looks as though it might have been a bit of a waste.

Liverpool fans have barely seen Chiesa in action, with his 10 appearances so far constituting just three starts, and most of them just being cameos from the bench. It was telling that Slot didn't even turn to him when the Reds needed a goal against Paris Saint-Germain, instead throwing on just a day after he'd returned to training.

The Liverpool boss has suggested that , given he hasn't had much of opportunity to train alongside the first-choice players. Even with the calendar dying down now though, you can't imagine he'll be forcing his way into the side during these final 10 games.

Chiesa has been linked with a return to Italy, and if Liverpool can make a profit by offloading him in the summer, then it should seriously consider cutting its losses and selling up. His signing looked too good to turn down last summer, but it's perhaps now clear why he seemed to be such a bargain.
