Under the leadership of Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde, NMMC meticulously planned the collection and disposal of waste. “Similar efforts had earned national recognition during the Coldplay concert in January when an overnight clean-up prevented sanitation issues. This time, the waste collected was mostly dry, both inside and outside the stadium. Inside the venue, waste segregation was the responsibility of the event management team, which they carried out, and we collected it,” said Deputy Municipal Commissioner Dr. Ajay Gadade.
