Taloja residents endured a major power outage on Saturday, with electricity being cut off at 3 AM and only restored by 6:30 PM. The 13 to 14-hour blackout caused severe inconvenience to households and businesses, leaving people struggling without essential services.

With no response from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), residents took to social media to voice their grievances. The platform X was flooded with complaints about frequent power failures in the area.

“For the past two days, we have been facing regular disruptions. On Saturday, however, the power cut lasted for hours. My phone battery drained, leaving me with no way to contact anyone,” said Mohammad Hanif, a resident of Taloja.

Residents expressed concern that even after restoration, the outages might persist. One user on X wrote: "The power situation is worsening every day. Electricity comes for a few minutes and then goes off again. I have complained before, but no action has been taken. Will MSEDCL officials ever fix this?"

Another frustrated user posted: "There has been no electricity since 4 AM in Taloja Phase 2, Sector 19. Are we living in a city or a rural area? This is the worst situation ever. We’ve spent the whole day without power!"

The power failure affected multiple sectors across Taloja Phase 2, with repeated calls and complaints to MSEDCL going unanswered. Residents, left in the dark both literally and figuratively, feared another sleepless night.

"We can only hope we don’t have to suffer through another day without electricity," said a resident, echoing the concerns of the entire community.
