Salman Khan is a big name in the Bollywood industry. Over the years he has been a part of several hit films. However do you know that Salman has also featured in a super flop film? The movie was made for Rs 19 crore but it only earned Rs 2 crore at the box office making it a huge flop for Khan. If you are wondering which movie we are talking about then the film in discussion is Marigold.
Released in 2007 Marigold was directed by Willard Carroll and featured American actress Ali Larter. Interestingly the movie was also offered to Preity Zinta but she turned it down. The movie was a romantic musical comedy and revolved around an American actress whose life takes a U-turn when she comes to India.
In the film Salmans character played the role of Prem. Marigold faced challenges at the box office for multiple reasons. Despite being made on a budget of Rs 19 crore the film managed to earn only Rs 2 crore failing to recover its costs.
The failure of Marigold was a huge disaster and because of it the director stopped making movies. This is one film that neither Salman Khan nor his fans would want to revisit.
Despite having a unique concept the film was not able to impress the audience.
Talking about Salman Khans next project the actor is all set to feature in Sikander. The film will also star Rashmika Mandanna and is scheduled to hit theatres on Eid 2025.
