Hrishikesh Pandey is seen as Inspector Sachin in the second season of the popular detective TV series CID. The actor has reprised his role in the crime drama and shared that playing it again even after a long time feels good.

He said, "When you step into a different character, it’s always a challenge, especially when you’re playing someone else’s role. But with a character like Inspector Sachin, which I’ve been playing for so long, coming back to it was exciting. And of course, the entire team being back together made it even more special."

"We’ve been like a family since the show started, and after so many years, that bond still feels incredible. As for the role of Sachin, his character had a romantic side as well. Just like every CID character had their own personal shades, Sachin also had his moments: the romantic angle, the heartbreak, and everything in between. But at his core, he’s always been a bit of a stud, and that’s still being portrayed the same way," he added.

The actor shared that every part of this journey has been wonderful and will continue to be so, and added, "We will continue to connect with the audience."

He also mentioned that every character from ACP Pradyuman to Daya and Abhijeet is the same and has stayed true to their roles. "We’ve played these characters for so many years; they’ve become larger than life. People start believing that we’re real cops, and that connection is so strong, it sometimes feels surreal."

"I’ve had many experiences like that myself. In fact, there was an incident at my own house. The watchman would often tell me that someone had come to see me. One day, I realised there was a lady who kept coming back, and eventually, she approached me. She asked if I could help guide her child, who was going down the wrong path. They had already filed a complaint at the police station, but she believed I could help, as if I really was Inspector Sachin in real life," he added.

He further shared that what struck him most was that they weren’t just random people, but were well-educated and established, yet they still believed so deeply in his character.

"That kind of connection, that kind of trust. It's a truly heartfelt and overwhelming feeling. Everywhere you go, people see you as one of them, and that’s an incredible thing," he ended.
