Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 23-year-old youth was stabbed to death by two transgender persons following a clash over an old enmity under Talaiya police station limits on Sunday morning in Bhopal.
The two accused also sustained injuries in the altercation and were taken to the hospital for treatment. Police have taken them into custody and are questioning them. The deceased has been identified as Adil Khan.
According to his family, he had left home in the morning with some people. Around 9 AM, his family received information that Adil was found injured near Band Master Crossing at Budhwara. He was immediately rushed to Hamidia Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Locals said Adil had a heated argument with two transgender persons, identified as Alvira Khan and Nawab, over an old dispute. The altercation escalated into a violent clash, during which Adil allegedly attacked the duo.
In retaliation, Alvira and Nawab pulled out a knife and stabbed him multiple times in his chest and neck. Preliminary investigation by police found that Adil and the accused were once friends but had a fallout some time ago. On Sunday, Adil reportedly confronted Alvira and Nawab, initially attacking them and giving them a chase.
Both accused sustained injuries in the clash
The duo fled but later returned and stabbed him. Talaiya police station incharge (TI) Chaturbhuj Rathore said that both accused sustained injuries in the clash and were taken for medical treatment.
They have been taken into custody for interrogation, he said. According to the locals Adil was married in February this year. His family had suffered another tragedy earlier when his elder brother died by suicide a few years ago.
