Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta participated in the iftar organized by the Minority Front of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the India Islamic Cultural Center on Sunday. During this, he said that such a program makes solidarity and harmony stronger in the society.
Many BJP leaders including Union Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju attended Iftar. Rekha Gupta said in a post on X, "In the Dawat-e-Iftar program organized by BJP Minority Front (Delhi Pradesh), there was an opportunity to share the message of harmony and unity with all siblings."
CM Rekha Gupta said that our culture is a symbol of mutual respect, love and harmony and such programs strengthen solidarity and harmony in the society. After the formation of the BJP government in Delhi last month, the party leaders joined Iftar for the second time. Earlier, CM Rekha Gupta, Rijiju and other party leaders attended the Iftar party of Delhi Haj Committee on Saturday.
During a conversation with the media, Kiren Rijiju said that when we sit together for Iftar, eat, talk and talk well, then we feel great. I neither think against anyone nor speak. In the month of Ramadan, we should speak good things. The Union Minister wrote in a post on the social media platform X, "The Delhi BJP attended the Dawat-e-iftar at the India Islamic Cultural Center on the invitation of Minority Front President Aneesh Abbasi. During this, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was also present.
Regarding the Waqf Amendment Bill, the Union Minister said that PM Modi wants the Muslims of the country good. Regarding the Waqf Amendment Bill, I want to tell the Muslims of the country not to pay attention to any kind of rumor. It is the beauty of democracy that the opposition always criticizes those functions of the government which are really in the public interest. The opposition has to do its work and we have to do our work.
