A Brazilian model-influencer recently received criticism from a taxi driver’s irate wife who rated her one-star for her gym outfit. The wife claimed that the model’s dress was “inappropriate" during the ride.
Brazilian influencer Kerolay Chaves described the incident when she used a ridesharing service to book a trip while returning from the gym. She got into the car when it arrived, greeted the driver, and they left. She did not notice anything strange while travelling.
However, Kerolay Chaves said that she was “surprised" when she learnt the driver gave her a one-star rating when she got home, the New York Post reported. She later received a message from the driver’s wife, to her utter astonishment.
Chaves claimed that the taxi driver’s wife told her that she “regularly monitors her husband’s rides and ratings" and revealed that the one-star rating was issued because of her outfit during the ride.
“The woman explained that she didn’t like my outfit and that this was the reason for the negative rating," the 23-year-old OnlyFans influencer, known for her voluptuous physique, said.
“She said that she didn’t consider my clothing appropriate for a taxi ride," Kerolay Chaves added while questioning the wife’s involvement in her husband’s work.
“I don’t think a partner should interfere in the other person’s personal choices [or monitoring their work]," Chaves said.
She described the behaviour as “not healthy" and said, “I didn’t expect this kind of reaction, especially from someone who doesn’t even know me."
Kerolay Chaves, meanwhile, has received plenty of flak for her sartorial choices. Earlier, she was kicked out of a supermarket for wearing skimpy clothes, which she attributed to “hot woman phobia."
“Just came from the supermarket and was bullied for wearing ‘too short clothes,’" Ms Chaves posted on Instagram at the time. “Some people looked with prejudice, others cursed me and, finally, I was kicked out of the site," the OnlyFans model said.
Some supported Ms Chaves for her choice of attire, while others criticised her for “embarrassing the decent people who are often there with children" by going grocery shopping in a skimpily dressed outfit.
Last year, a clip of a bikini-clad woman riding a crowded bus in Delhi created a stir online. The viral video showed the bikini-clad woman boarding the bus. Another female passenger nearby moved to make room for her. Another traveller chose to leave his seat and turn away from the woman as the video went on.
