The controversy has now reached Nagpur over the removal of Aurangzeb's tomb in Khhatabad in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra. During the demonstration by an organization on Monday, some rumors arose after which tension arose in the city. On seeing this, two groups came face to face and stone pelting started. Trains parked on the roadside were vandalized and then set on fire. Many cars including JCB were gutted.
In a hurry, the police took the front and released tear gas shells to disperse the miscreants. Meanwhile, the miscreants also stoned policemen in which many policemen including DCP were injured. After the ruckus, police and rapid action force personnel have been deployed on the city. Police say that the situation is currently under control and people have been appealed not to pay attention to rumors. In this case, the police have arrested 15 people while 40 to 50 people have also been detained.
The state government came into alert mode amid tensions spread between two communities in the parliamentary constituency of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Gadkari appealed to the people to maintain peace late on Monday night and requested people not to pay attention to any kind of rumors. Nagpur police say that this incident was not predetermined or pre -planned.
After the rumor, there was a stone pelting incident in the violence. The fiery people there set many vehicles on fire. DCP Niketan Kadam of Nagpur has also been injured in stone pelting. Officials said that apart from 6 common people, 3 policemen have also been injured in the violence. During the violence in the palace area, a JCB machine was also set on fire.
Meanwhile, Nagpur police has taken 40 to 50 people into custody. On the basis of CCTV and video, the police are holding their hold on to those who have carried out the incident of violence. Along with this, the police has also started the process of registering an FIR.
Construction work was going on near Shivaji Chowk in Nagpur, so there were large -scale stones which were used by the hooddis for stone pelting. Policemen and fire brigade officials are present on the spot.
Nagpur Police Commissioner Ravinder Singhal said, “A picture was burnt there, after which people took action on their request.
A fire brigade official at the scene said, "A fireman has also been injured in 2 JCB and 2-3 other trains."
The Chief Minister's appeal came at a time when violence spread in many areas of Central Nagpur in the evening that some religious texts were burnt during the performance by an organization to remove Aurangzeb's tomb. Chief Minister Fadnavis said in his statement, "After stone pelting and stressful situation in the palace area, the police have taken over the situation there." He also requested citizens to cooperate with the administration.
Initially, police officials said that 4 people were injured in a clash between the protesters and the police. In order to make people pheasant, the police fired tear gas shells and lathi-charged. Fadnavis also has the Home Department, he said that he is constantly in touch with the police.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also appealed to the people to maintain peace and harmony amidst the violence erupted in Nagpur. Gadkari said in his video message, "The history of Nagpur has always been peace. I appeal to all brothers to maintain peace. Do not believe in any kind of rumors nor take to the streets. " He also said that the government will take action against the people involved in illegal activities.

DCP Archit Chandak of Nagpur said about the incident, “The incident happened due to some misunderstanding. The situation is currently under control. Our force is strong here. I appeal to everyone not to get out or do stone pelting. There was stone pelting there, so we demonstrated force and also used tear gas. ”
