Nestlé India has warned job seekers about a scam that falsely promises employment with the company, offering salaries between Rs 5-10 lakh per annum.
In a LinkedIn post, the company stated: "Please be advised that all job postings from Nestlé India are made exclusively through our official channels: https://www.nestle.in/jobs or https://lnkd.in/eA8DQpUn. We urge you to verify the authenticity of any job postings by visiting our official website."
Nestlé India clarified that it recruits candidates either directly or through duly authorized, reputed recruitment agencies in the industry.
"Our recruitment agencies do not charge any fees from candidates, either before or after the hiring process. We request aspiring candidates to be cautious, as Nestlé India does not authorize any recruitment agency to issue 'Offer Letters' directly for employment," the company added.
Nestlé further emphasised that it does not solicit personal information or job applications through unofficial channels.
The company urged job seekers not to share personal details, such as bank account information or other sensitive data, with anyone claiming to represent Nestlé. It also advised against engaging with individuals who directly reach out and claim to offer job opportunities at Nestlé India.
"Be wary of clicking on any suspicious links or sharing them widely to prevent exposure to potential fraud," the company warned in the post.
In another statement, Nestlé India reiterated that it is under no obligation to honor any fraudulent 'Offer Letters' issued by unauthorized recruitment agencies or received by candidates from third parties.
"Anyone dealing with such alleged recruitment agencies does so at their own risk," it stated.
The company requested people to share this advisory with their family and friends who may have encountered similar fraudulent job postings.
Nestle has also shared the fake job post by one Pooja Dayal.
