‘People wait to see us lose’: Haris Rauf explodes after Pakistan lost 2nd successive T20

New Delhi: Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf expressed that some individuals in the country anticipate Pakistans losses in order to criticize the players. Haris Rauf stated in a post-match press conference that criticizing players has become a common occurrence in Pakistan. He emphasized that these are young athletes who have been given a chance to prove themselves noting that other teams provide their young players with greater freedom. New players are typically allotted 10 to 15 matches. Entering international cricket can be challenging which is widely acknowledged. This situation has become typical in Pakistan where there is a public expectation for the team to fail and many hold strong opinions about it he noted. The fast bowler urged supporters to be patient with the younger players stating We are doing our utmost and concentrating on team development. As experienced players we are encouraging the youth and guiding them on how to navigate international cricket. Pakistans captain Salman Ali Agha expressed that the recent match was an improvement over their last performance. He noted Our batting was better and the fielding was exceptional. Our bowling showed good moments but we need to adapt to the different bounce. After the powerplay our bowling was effective particularly from Haris. However we must enhance our performance during the powerplay both as a batting and bowling unit Agha remarked after the game. However Tim Seifert scored 45 runs off 22 balls and Finn Allen contributed 38 runs from 16 balls leading New Zealand to a comfortable five-wicket victory. Pakistan will play third match of the series against New Zealand on  Friday at Eden Park Auckland.
